Like many ancient cultures, the Celtic isles have a history of respect for sacred places embedded in their landscape; places where earth meets spirit. Among these revered spots are holy wells: springs where travelers come to drink the water and ask for healing and solace. Brighid’s Well, located in County Kildare, Ireland, is named for Saint Brigit, keeper of the spirit. A perpetual flame is kept burning in Brigit’s chapel, near the Well, to symbolize her eternal devotion to healing and peace. It is fitting that this lovely wellness center on the Celtic Spirit grounds bears her name. Built of fragrant natural wood, the interior of Brighid’s Well breathes an atmosphere of calm and sanctuary. Therapeutic massage is one of the wellness-centered services available to our guests. Near the wellness center you can find our labyrinth where you can contemplate life's journey with a meditative walk.
Why do people walk labyrinths?
