Inspired by their experiences at Celtic Colours, a yearly week-long international Celtic festival held on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, hosts Don and Marsha Waugh created as part of their resort a Ceilidh House – a place where people gather together for fun, culture, and friendship. Shauncy’s Place exudes the conviviality and charm of an Irish pub. Green hills and grazing animals, glimpsed through the hall’s bay windows, evoke scenes from Ireland, England, or Scotland. The venue’s tables and chairs may be arranged in a number of creative ways. Marsha can recommend local caterers who will add their delicious wares to parties, meals, and meetings. Equipped with sound system and stage, Shauncy’s Place is also a great setting for intimate house concerts and music/dance workshops.
