"The owners were very gracious during our visit, even when the powers-to-be decided that the drought was over. Our kids got pretty
good on the pool table, and we enjoyed the scenery and quietude. A couple times a day you could hear the distant train passing through
town, and that was the only sound of the modern world to be had at the cabin unless you started your car.
We want to return one of these days, during trout season."

Met cousins and friends at Celtic Spirit - what a great time we had - nicely secluded with adventures within walking off the porch
(if you can tear yourself away from the rocking chairs and peace on the porch) - nice trails and river area - just a lovely,
comfortable place - hospitality is a+ - no time for massages on this trip but next time for sure, and next time my canoe is coming."
- Kathy M., PA

"Visited the mountains of North Carolina and found this vacation home in the middle of everything. Just a great location. House is
very secluded and very spacious. We had about 8 people and had a great time. From the walk to the river, the local scenery and the
rocking chairs on the front porch. Lots of peace and quiet. House was located close to the Blue Ridge Parkway which made our
days trips very easy. I would highly reccomend this vacation property."

"We visited the Celtic Spirit for the first time last week. It was very peaceful and relaxing. We have been visiting the mountains at
least once a year for several years so we have been to most of the attractions. This time we just wanted to stay where we could
find things to do nearby. This house was perfect. The kids stayed busy swimming, tubing and fishing. We did some of that too,
but also relaxed."
- Bob and Becky S., Charlotte, NC
"Our family spent this past weekend (the last weekend in July) at Celtic Spirit. Our two daughters from Atlanta, along with their
husbands and our 9-month old baby granddaughter joined us there. We were very pleased with all the accomodations and had an
enjoyable time. We were in Spruce Pine for a family reunion, but next time we hope to come just to enjoy Celtic Spirit and all it has
to offer. Also, I regret that I didn't get to meet Marsha in person because she was so super nice on the phone. So I definitely hope to
return. Thanks again, Marsha, for helping to make everything go smoothly for our weekend."
- Donna E., Claremont, NC
"Although my first love is the Carolina coast, I have become a mountain-lover after several visits to Celtic Spirit. It is truly a magical
place. The rocking chairs on the front porch promise a comfy place to sit for your morning coffee and hummingbird watching.
When you step inside the cabin, it feels like "home". It is very comfortably furnished, and your eye is drawn to the wonderful fireplace
in the living room. During my most recent visit, I enoyed a relaxing massage with Tara and an Awakening with Marsha at Brighid's
Well. My stress just melted away, and my mind became clearer. We built a cozy fire in the pit by the river and spent hours down
there under the stars, listening to the water flow by. Thank-you, Waugh Family, for sharing your piece of heaven with us.
We can't wait to come back."
- Karen A., Beaufort, SC
"We had a great "Big Chill" weekend here with some friends who came to meet us from Pittsburg. We especially enjoyed the Pool
Table, the fireplace, and cooking steaks on the gas grill on the back deck. It is a very peacefull and quiet setting, and hiking was fun."
- Rick H., Palm Harbor, FL
"We have visited this cabin twice and enjoyed our stay very much. The atmosphere was relaxing and quiet. The fishing was great
(yes I the wife caught the big brown trout.) we hope to return in the fall to check out the new pub and spa if open."
